Research events going on while you’re there

For departure:

Bring your own water bottle.
Make sure you have a pen with you. This can help you to fill up the forms (including immigration forms) to fasten the process. (also you’ll thank us with this once you reach Tribhuwan International Airport)

When you arrive:

TIA is not the best airport as you’ve experienced before. Luggage claim can take time but don't panic. Just relax and be informed. (trust me, sometimes it can take quite a time but use that time to inform the person who’s there to pick you up)

Use GuideBook or find ‘Enhance your Experience’ tool. It include maps, local phrases you need to know, and challenges to ensure your experience is diverse.
Use local language as much as possible. It shows your gratitude and reflects your effort which is always nice.
Have a souvenir list prepared, and stick to it.
